If you keep winning, at some point, no one besides those with negative preconceived notions can deny how good you are. That's what Lamont Paris and the South Carolina Gamecocks have done since their disappointing home loss against Georgia on January 16th.

Having now compiled a 21-3 overall, including an 8-2 record versus Quad 1 and 2 opponents per the NET Rankings, and sitting atop the SEC standings alongside Alabama, analysts are coming around to the idea of the Gamecocks being one of the top four seed lines in March, a thought likely unfathomable one month ago. By Tuesday each week, most of the more notable bracketologists have updated their projections, and this week, South Carolina has once again moved up.

Starting with CBS Sports bracketologist Jerry Palm, who continues to be the highest on the Gamecocks, moved Paris' team up to his 3-seed line and the No. 10 overall seed in his projection. ESPN's Joe Lunardi pushed Carolina from a 6-seed to a 5-seed (17th overall | A five-spot jump). NCAA Media analyst Andy Katz bumped the Gamecocks from a 5-seed to a 4-seed (13th overall | A SEVEN spot jump). The Field of 68 Media network, which has given plenty of praise to Lamont and South Carolina as of late, has them slotted as a 4-seed (14th overall).

If the Gamecocks can knock off Auburn tomorrow night on the road and avoid what would be a résumé-dinging loss to the LSU Tigers on Saturday, we could begin to see South Carolina be more of a consensus 3-seed in these projections.
