ICYMI: GG Jackson Joins LeBron James In The NBA History Books
Former South Carolina men's basketball star GG Jackson is making the most of his newfound opportunities with the Memphis Grizzlies. After setting a new career high of 20 points on 64.3 percent shooting from the floor against the storied New York Knicks this past Saturday night, Jackson quickly surpassed that performance by dropping 23 points on the Golden State Warriors on Monday night.
This not only earned him a wholesome interview with the crew of Inside The NBA on TNT, but it also etched GG's name into the NBA history books, as Jackson became the second-youngest player in the league's history at the age of 19 years and 29 days old to score 20 or more points in consecutive games. The only player to ever accomplish that feat at a younger age is sure-fire future hall of famer and four-time champion LeBron James. Not bad for the 45th pick in the previous NBA Draft.
Jackson and the Grizzlies will be back in action on Thursday night when they take on the Minnesota Timberwolves on TNT.
