Gamecock Basketball Commit Eli Ellis Continues To Impress
Eli Ellis has been on an absolute tear playing YNG Dreamerz with overtime elite. In his recent game, he nearly had a triple-double, finishing with 50 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists. While it was nearly the best performance this season for him, it only tied his season high and marked the second time he has scored 50 points in a game.
So far this season, Ellis has averaged 33.1 points on 45% shooting, 5.5 rebounds, and 4.1 assists. This season has seen his average jump 20 points per game and continually showcase his ability to make shots from nearly anywhere on the court. Lamont Paris and the company secured a verbal commitment from Ellis on the 15th of November 2023.
Rated as one of the top point guards in the country, South Carolina fans should start paying more attention to his performances if they're not already. He's continuing to impress and improve and will provide a spark for the Gamecocks, whenever possible, as a starter his first year or off the bench. Coach Paris is off to a quick start thus far in the 2025 recruiting class as they currently sit as the number one class, very early, with Ellis and Hayden Assemian.
