This past Tuesday night's matchup between the South Carolina Gamecocks and Georgia Bulldogs had its moments of intense physicality. One of those moments came halfway through the second half when Gamecock wing Myles Stute, who was situated on one of the lane lines with South Carolina shooting free throws, was hooked and brought down to the floor, suffering an upper-body injury in the process and not returning to the game.

South Carolina head coach Lamont Paris said after the game that Stute would undergo an MRI on Wednesday so the staff could get further information on his injury. Unfortunately for the Vanderbilt transfer, his recovery won't be a quick one, as the program announced on Thursday evening that Myles will miss the next two to three weeks of action.

That means that sophomore Zachary Davis, who also got dinged up against the Bulldogs, will have to start in Stute's place in the next few conference games. Davis has only started two games to this point in his college career, with both coming against USC Upstate and Texas A&M this past season.
