How To Watch: No. 6 South Carolina Vs. No. 14 Maryland

South Carolina's women's basketball team is set to face its second top-15 opponent in one week. Here's how you can watch the game!

Dawn Staley and the Gamecocks will play their first home game later today against the 14th-ranked Maryland Terrapins. Both teams enter today's game with a 1-0 record, as South Carolina secured a 29-point victory against No. 10 Notre Dame in Paris six days ago, and Maryland's coming off a 23-point win over Harvard that they also attained last Monday.

Although the Gamecocks have seen some talented players leave the program, and some thought there might be a drop-off, they showed in their season opener that they are still an incredibly talented team, with five players scoring in double figures, and the team scoring 100 against the Fighting Irish. Last season, South Carolina was 30-1 when they scored over 69 points.

For Maryland, guard Shaynne Sellers will be someone the Gamecocks will need to keep in check. She can score from anywhere and can make defenses pay when they don't account for her. Last season, Maryland's record was 27-3 when they scored more than 52 points in a game and that trend continued in their first game.

This will be a game where center Kamilla Cardoso very well could have a massive game on the boards and scoring. Dawn Staley and South Carolina look to get their 2023-24 home slate started on the right foot.
