REPORT: Former 5-star D-Lineman LT Overton To Visit South Carolina

South Carolina's Football program is set to host a big-time visitor from within the SEC footprint, per multiple reports.

South Carolina's Football program is set to host a plethora of transfer targets on campus this weekend. The players coming to Columbia range from experience offensive linemen to all-conference caliber skill weapons, but that group just became even more star-studded. Based on reports from On3Sports and 247Sports Directors of Recruiting, Chad Simmons and Steve Wiltfong, former 2022 5-star defensive lineman and Texas A&M transfer, LT Overton, is coming to Columbia this weekend to check out the Gamecocks.

Overton was originally a part of the 2023 recruiting class, before reclassifying to the 2022 class and committing to Jimbo Fisher and Texas A&M. After racking up 31 total tackles, 3 tackles for loss, and a sack in 2022, LT saw his stats dip in 2023, as he compiled just 17 total tackles. Overton has two years of eligibility remaining, and his older brother and fellow Aggie defensive lineman, Micaiah, will be joining him on his visit as well.
