Luke Doty & LaNorris Sellers Discuss Their Special Nights

Luke Doty and LaNorris Sellers had special nights for different reasons in the 47-21 victory for South Carolina's Football team over the Furman Paladins.

After a productive win against the Furman Paladins, South Carolina quarterbacks Luke Doty and LaNorris Sellers spoke to the media. It was a special night for both quarterbacks, as Sellers threw his first-ever touchdown pass as a Gamecock, and Luke Doty caught his first career touchdown pass. It was easy to see, talking to both of them, that these two, along with the rest of the quarterbacks, have a great bond, learning from each other every single day and sometimes even surprising each other.

One of the things that stuck out the most when Luke was asked about his thoughts on the QB room was him saying, "The main thing that comes to [my] mind is the brotherhood, something's always going on... just an environment where they all support each other." Luke Doty was asked about his feelings and emotions, knowing that he has now thrown, ran, and caught a touchdown for the Gamecocks. Doty stated he "Just does his job, looks forward to it, but in the end, it's what they do." Doty has been asked to do it all for South Carolina since he's been here, and he's always gone out and done what's asked of him.

Later, when he was asked to talk about being in two different rooms and what he sees from the guys, he went on to say that they all work hard. He made special mention of Xavier Legette and how hard of a worker he is, saying, "That's not just a Saturday thing... that's a Monday through Sunday [thing]."  Both were asked for their thoughts on the freshmen that got in tonight for the Gamecocks, and both were adamant they were happy to get the chance to see those guys go out and play after working so hard this spring and summer.

LaNorris also spoke with the media after the game and spoke on his first time coming out to 2001, mentioning his adrenaline was something else, and the entrance was really cool. He also humorously noted that he couldn't see through the smoke at first, but it was a really cool experience for him.
