The NFL's regular season is just a few weeks away, but plenty of talented free agents remain available. One of the top remaining defenders in free agency, Jadeveon Clowney, has found a new home in Baltimore, as the defensive end has signed a one-year deal with the Ravens on Friday.

Before making his way to the NFL, Clowney was one of the most electric defenders in college football in the past few decades. Clowney was a consensus All-American, winner of the Ted Hendricks Award for best DE in college football, and even had a top-6 finish in Heisman voting, an impressive feat for a defensive lineman.

After his decorated college career, Clowney was selected with the first overall pick in the draft by the Houston Texans, who he spent five seasons with. In that stretch, Clowney was selected to the Pro Bowl three times and cemented himself as one of the best defensive linemen in the game.

After departing from Houston in 2018, Clowney suited up for the Seattle Seahawks, Tennessee Titans, and most recently, the Cleveland Browns. Since 2018, Clowney has not played at the level he once did in Houston but remains a talented playmaker.

The former number-one overall pick tallied two sacks and 28 total tackles through 10 starts with the Cleveland Browns last season. Although his career now spans almost a decade, Clowney still has plenty left in the tank and is looking to recuperate the loss of Calais Campbell for the Ravens.

Throughout his career, Clowney has amassed over 40 sacks and 300 tackles. Clowney's experience and veteran leadership could be pivotal for Baltimore down the stretch, with the Ravens vying for a playoff spot in a very crowded NFC North.
