Opening Betting Lines: South Carolina Vs. Jacksonville State

South Carolina's Football team is beginning week ten as a multi-score favorite over their Gamecock brethren from Jacksonville State.

Having lost each of their last four regular-season games, the South Carolina Gamecocks now find themselves in a precarious position, heading back to Columbia with a 2-6 record, and needing to win every game in the month of November in order to make it to a bowl game this postseason. This pivotal stretch begins this coming Saturday when Shane Beamer's squad takes on Jacksonville State, in a game that's already being named The Battle Of The Gamecocks, the mascot for both respective teams.

Although some might think a matchup against Jacksonville State is just what the doctor ordered, with Carolina having played six straight SEC games, and four of them away from Williams-Brice Stadium, that couldn't be farther from the truth, as the fighting Rich-Rods find themselves at 7-2 at this point in the season. Thus, the spread for this game isn't as high as might usually be:
