BREAKING: The Battle Of The Gamecocks Will Take Place At High Noon
As crazy as this may sound, the South Carolina Gamecocks will begin the final third of the 2023 regular season this next, meaning they have four games remaining. The good news with these four games is that you are player some "lesser" opponents in Jacksonville State and Vanderbilt, which should be wins, esepecially when you consider the fact that those two games, along with the Kentucky and Clemson matchups, are at home.
The bad news is that depending on how Carolina performs this coming weekend against the Texas A&M Aggies, they could be fighting for their bowl game lives the rest of the way. The first game that will take place in that potential scenario would be against the Rich Rodriguez-led Jacksonville State Gamecocks, who are currently 6-2 on the season.
With the lack of national attention this contest will garner, along with South Carolina's recent on-field performances, the SEC announced on Monday afternoon that the Battle of the Gamecocks will take place at Noon ET on ESPNU, which would make it the fourth straight afternoon game for Shane Beamer's team.
