Shane Beamer Says Four More Starters Are Questionable For Texas A&M Game
Shane Beamer and his program are in the midst of a down year in 2023, and while they haven't helped themselves in terms of on-field performance this Fall, injuries are piling up faster than empty pallets in a warehouse. The offensive line, in particular, has dealt with the worst consequences of the injury bug this season, having lost multiple backups and a couple of starters for one reason or another.
That position group could be even thinner when the Gamecocks travel to College Station this coming Saturday, as Beamer told the media during his weekly Sunday night teleconference call that Tree Babalade and Trovon Baugh are both questionable to play, along with veteran leader Vershon Lee who left the Florida game due to injury back in week seven. Along with the two linemen are two wide receiver starters, as Xavier Legette and Ahmarean Brown were both also listed as questionable by South Carolina's head coach.
The only positive news to come out of the injury report was that running back Mario Anderson Jr. is fine after exiting the Missouri game on a occasion or two yesterday, and Cason Henry has been elevated from out to questionable this week. We'll keep you updated as the week progresses.
