Early Betting Odds: South Carolina @ No. 22 Tennessee
South Carolina currently sits at 2-2 on the season after getting a bounceback win over the Mississippi State Bulldogs on Saturday night. While the Gamecocks have shown improvement in several areas over the course of the season, particularly along the offensive line and in rush defense, the Tennessee Volunteers, South Carolina's week five opponent, has largely struggled to maintain consistency in any area despite facing what anyone would deem to be an extremely manageable four week start to their season.
The Volunteers, however, might be finding their stride at just the right time, as they steamrolled the UTSA Roadrunners on Saturday by a score of 45-14, with quarterback Joe Milton accounting for 298 total yards of offense and three total touchdowns. There's also no question that this upcoming matchup is one that Josh Heupel, and likely everyone in that entire building have been looking forward to since their annihilation in Columbia last November.
While South Carolina has been the more battle-tested team, the oddsmakers seem to lean more in favor of Tennessee at this point in the week, as FanDuel currently has their line set at +10.5 points for the Gamecocks. The over/under for this game is set at 63.5 points, meaning that the people in Vegas believe that there will be a lot of points scored in this matchup as well.
