Braden Davis Enters The Transfer Portal
With Spencer Rattler coming back for another season, and Gamecock fans getting introduced to freshman phenom LaNorris Sellers at the Garnet and Black Spring game ten days ago, there was a train of thought throughout Columbia that South Carolina was likely going to lose a quarterback to the transfer portal after Spring practice ended. There arent too many Power 5 programs that carry six scholarship quarterbacks on their roster, which usually leads to a situation where a couple of players are the odd men out in terms of playing time.
This seemingly lead to the report from The Athletic's Max Olson on Wednesday afternoon that South Carolina quarterback Braden Davis was entering the transfer portal.
Davis was the Gatorade Delaware Football Player of the Year and an Under-Armour All-American selection in the 2022 recruiting cycle, and was on scout team for the duration of the 2022 season due to the depth that was in front of him.
