BREAKING: Kickoff Time Announced For South Carolina - Tennessee Matchup
The South Carolina Gamecocks have just a couple of games remaining in what has been a really difficult September slate to start the 2023 season. Playing at least two Top 25 teams and up to three conference opponents is not something that any other SEC team is having to deal with, but as Shane Beamer would probably say, like any other coach, the team is taking things one week at a time.
Week five, however, is just going to be different because the Gamecocks will be taking on Tennessee in Knoxville. It'll be the first time the two teams have matched up since last November when South Carolina completely obliterated the Volunteers 63-38 in a game that ended the CFP hopes for Josh Heupel's squad. Big Orange will be looking for revenge, and knowing this, the SEC Network is ready to showcase this game in full, as it was announced on Monday afternoon that the game would be a 7:30 kickoff and the SEC Game of the Week.
With Tennessee starting off sluggish and South Carolina losing two of their first three games, it could be a game of significant importance not just for bragging rights but also in terms of each team's trajectory for the rest of the 2023 football season.
