The University of South Carolina Gamecocks takes on the No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs this morning at noon eastern time. Georgia is coming off a national title win while the Gamecocks are amidst a program rehaul.

Pregame Story Lines
South Carolina Football Injury Report
- RJ Roderick, S (Arm) OUT - Roderick missed the Arkansas game after suffering an injury against Georgia State. He will miss his second consecutive game this afternoon.
- Corey Rucker, WR (Foot) OUT - Rucker has yet to make his season debut after injuring his foot during preseason camp.
- Alex Huntley, EDGE (Leg) OUT - Huntley left the game against Arkansas with a lower-body injury but returned to action later in the contest. Beamer and company decided to keep him out as a precaution.
- Cam Smith, CB (Concussion) OUT- Smith left the Arkansas game with a towel draped over his head. The All-American will not play this afternoon.
- David Spaulding, CB (Shoulder) OUT - Spaulding is still recovering from shoulder surgery but is reportedly trending in the right direction.
Georgia head coach Kirby Smart said that star defensive tackle Jalen Carter is dealing with some injury issues and was limited in pregame warmups.

First Quarter
(0-0), 15:00 - South Carolina wins the toss and elects to receive the opening kickoff.
(0-0), 12:53 - The Gamecocks gain a first down but ultimately stall out on third and six and punt away to Georgia.
(0-7), 8:20 - Georgia promptly marches down the field, facing only one third-down on a long drive. Tight end Brock Bowers scores on a sweep in the red zone.
(0-7), 7:00 - Quarterback Spencer Rattler lofts an ill-advised pass while in plus territory, intended for running back Juju McDowell. Safety Malaki Starks comes away with an interception and returns it to the Gamecock 43-yard line.
(0-14), 4:42 - Running back Kendall Milton drives his way into the endzone for a short-yardage touchdown after another methodical drive from the Bulldogs.
(0-14), 2:31 - South Carolina fakes a punt in their territory and converts it to extend the drive.
(0-14), 0:00 - The quarter ends with South Carolina facing a fourth-and-nine at the Georgia thirty-nine-yard line.
Second Quarter
(0-14), 14:48 - South Carolina fails a fourth-down try in Georgia territory. The pass from quarterback Spencer Rattler is well short of the sticks.
(0-21), 11:25 - Tight end Brock Bowers catches a touchdown on third-and-goal, courtesy of quarterback Stetson Bennett.
(0-21), 7:28 - South Carolina gets some burst from running back Juju McDowell and enters plus territory. However, pressure on third and long flushes Rattler and forces him into a short throw, bringing on the punt unit.
(0-21), 6:07 - The Gamecocks force a punt after pressuring Bennett on a screen pass. Gamecocks take over near midfield.
(0-21), 4:08 - South Carolina goes three and out and punts back to Georgia, who will take over on their fifteen-yard line.
(0-24), 0:30 - Georgia drains the entire four minutes of clock on several nice concepts designed by offensive coordinator Todd Monken. Kicker Jack Podlesney drilled a short field goal to extend the lead.
(0-24), 0:00 - The Gamecocks head into the half down twenty-four after attempting to draw up a Hail Mary.
Third Quarter
(0-31), 13:21 - Bowers puts the moves on three Gamecock defenders and takes it all the way for a 78-yard touchdown. Bennett found Bowers over the middle, and Brock did the rest.
(0-38), 7:13 - Georgia defense forces a quick punt, and the Bulldogs lean on their run game all the way down the field. Multiple missed tackles get the Gamecocks in goal-to-go, and quarterback Stetson Bennett makes a defender miss for an easy touchdown.
(0-38), 6:59 - Safety Dan Jackson intercepts a Rattler pass intended for tight end Jaheim Bell. Rattler lofted the ball into double coverage, and Georgia will take over at midfield.
(0-45), 6:00 - True freshman tight end Oscar Delp, once a South Carolina recruiting target, catches a twenty-eight-yard touchdown from quarterback Carson Beck.
(0-45), 0:00 - Georgia ends the quarter with possession after the Gamecocks stall out once again. Rattler converted a fourth-down with his legs, but it was called back after an illegal blindside block.
Fourth Quarter
(0-48), 8:57 - Georgia dominates the point of attack all the way down the field, running off six minutes of clock before kicker Jared Zirkel hits a twenty-one-yard field goal.
(0-48), 4:33 - Inside linebacker Trezmen Marshall intercepts quarterback Luke Doty in the red zone, halting all South Carolina momentum.
(0-48), 3:04 - South Carolina bats a pass at the line of scrimmage and forces a Georgia punt. Wide receiver Josh Vann returns it all the way to the Bulldog 45-yard line.
(7-48), 0:53 - Doty lofts a pass to the back of the end zone to wide receiver Trae Kenion for a touchdown. The Gamecocks will become the first team to score a touchdown against this Georgia defense in 2022.
(7-48), 0:00 - South Carolina suffers a loss to Georgia, 48-7.
