Josiah Thompson Commits To South Carolina
Within the past three months, South Carolina's Football program has quickly regained their reputation of possessing a stranglehold over the high school football talent in the state of South Carolina. The Gamecocks have landed prospects the likes of Mazeo Bennett, Blake Franks and Kam Pringle in the Palmetto State.
Josiah Thompson is another national level prospect that hails from South Carolina in the 2024 cycle, but unlike the three aforementioned players, is someone that seemed to be leaning towards one particular school throughout the entire process. Josiah has taken seventeen total visits to Columbia throughout the recruiting process, and was offered by Shane Beamer and his staff just five months after their arrival at South Carolina.
This culminated to Thompson's commitment announcement on Friday morning, when he committed to the South Carolina Gamecocks. Josiah is the third offensive line commit in the 2024 recruiting class and the seventh commitment overall.
