2024 Safety Malcolm Ziglar Sets Official Visit With South Carolina
June is set to be a busy month for the Gamecocks. The team is already expecting visits from 2024 defensive backs Kelvin Hunter and Kaj Sanders and added another visitor this week. 2024 Safety Malcolm Ziglar will be in Columbia from June 9-11 on an official visit with the team.
Ziglar, the fifth-ranked player from North Carolina according to On3's Industry Ranking, is consistently viewed as one of the most athletic players on the field. His 10.94 second 100-meter dash time was one of the fastest times in North Carolina this season. Sometimes high school athletes struggle to translate their blazing speed from track to the football field, but the 2024 ballhawk utilizes his speed to terrorize opposing quarterbacks who think they have an open-man downfield.
Not only is Ziglar an exceptional two-sport athlete, but he is also a versatile athlete on the football field. Though his strong suit is his lockdown coverage ability, Ziglar is also a high-impact player on the offensive side of the ball, whether it's off of a jet sweep or a go route, if Ziglar has the ball in his hands, he will get to the end zone.
Though he flew under the radar as a prospect early in his recruiting process, the four-star defensive back's recruitment has quickly heated up since the beginning of 2023. Since January 1st, Ziglar has received ten power-five offers and is expected to receive more as time passes.
