Noah Jenkins Narrows His Recruitment
The South Carolina Gamecocks have done a fantastic job recruiting and developing the defensive secondary since Shane Beamer and his coaching staff arrived in Columbia. Multiple recruiting service websites considered the Gamecocks 2022 defensive back haul to be one of the best in the country, as they added highly touted prospects like Keenan Nelson Jr. and Emory Floyd while finding diamonds in the rough like Nick Emmanwori and DQ Smith.
The 2023 class was similar to the composition of the 2022 class, highlighted by players like Vicari Swain and Jalon Kilgore. Torrian Gray is looking to continue this trend in the 2024 cycle, with one of his targets being Virginia native Noah Jenkins. Jenkins has taken two visits to Columbia, his most recent one being on Junior Day weekend this past month. It appears that the relationship he's built with the staff and their development of defensive backs has caught his attention, as Noah included South Carolina in his top 5 he posted to Twitter on Monday afternoon.
Jenkins joins KJ Bolden, Jarvis Boatwright Jr., and Kelvin Hunter as high-profile safety prospects for which the Gamecocks remain in heavy pursuit at this point in the recruiting process.
