Zy'Marion Lang Announces Decision
It had been 34 days since the Gamecocks last picked up a commitment, but that streak ended today with a commitment from Sunshine State product Zy'Marion Lang, a 6'3 athlete from Cardinal Mooney High School in Palmetto, FL. Lang is expected to come in as a wide receiver to start his career and will get a look at defensive back if needed. This is a new development in Lang's recruitment, as they initially were looking to bring him in as a cornerback, but with some wide receivers picking other schools over the Gamecocks in recent weeks, he will get the opportunity to start at the position that he's mainly been recruited for by other schools.
Zy'Marion has a connection to the Gamecock program that fans might not know about, and that is that former Gamecock wide receiver Ace Sanders is one of his wide receiver trainers down in Florida.
Lang is the 14th commit in the class and just the second wide receiver commit for the Gamecocks.
