On Friday evening, Stanford led by as many as 12 points in the second half yet ended up on the losing end when the clock hit 0:00, falling to Arizona State by a score of 76-73.

The loss marks their second straight and also adds to their pile of losses in which they have blown double-digit leads. It also drops their record to 5-6 on the year. The Cardinal had a chance to take the lead or tie it up with just a handful of seconds remaining, but Michael Jones had his shot blocked.

The road doesn't get any easier for Jerod Haase and company as they will welcome No. 4 Arizona to town Sunday afternoon. The Wildcats are 3-2 in their last five, dropping games to No. 7 FAU and No. 1 Purdue.

Stanford on the other hand is 2-3 in their last five as they lost to San Diego State and Northern Iowa, but did beat up on Idaho and San Diego.

On the bright side for Stanford, it was their first game with a full roster as Spencer Jones made his return, scoring nine points on 3-of-10 shooting off the bench. They also got a great showing from freshman gaurd Kanaan Carlyle who added 12 points off the bench.

It was Maxime Raynaud and Brandon Angel leading the way in scoring as they each had 15 points. The team clearly could have used more games together as it is evident they are still learning to play together, but they will have to figure things out in Pac-12 play.
