Despite the season being over, it is safe to say that the rivalry between Stanford and Cal is still brewing into the offseason

Social media is often full of anonymous accounts trolling people, but on some occasions, there are rifts between athletes and rival opponents, teams, or fans.

That was the case on Wednesday evening between Stanford and Cal's star running back Jaydn Ott. After New Mexico offensive lineman Shancco Matautia announced that he had received an offer from Stanford following his entry into the portal, Ott came out of left field to chime in with an anti-Stanford sentiment.

While the whole world likely knows how valuable a degree from Stanford actually is, it is fun to see the rivalry between ACC foes have some fuel added to the fire. Cal got the best of Stanford this past season, winning the axe for the third straight season.

The two teams will, of course, face off in 2024, but will do so under a different conference banner as they both left the sinking Pac-12 for the ACC.
