On Wednesday the Pac-12 saw the rug pulled out from under them following the news that Colorado is leaving to join the Big 12

A move that many expected could happen, especially after reports indicating frustrations from Colorado when the conference was unable to provide a media rights number. Now, the Pac-12 is on life-support and is scrambling to figure out what their next move is.

As I wrote about yesterday, there are three things they need to do in order to survive and aside from keeping everyone else in the conference being at the forefront, expanding has now become a priority over the media rights deal. Something 247Sports' Brandon Marcello reported on Thursday that the Pac-12 is now set to meet and address further expansion options.

The presumed candidates for expansion remain to be San Diego State, SMU, and now there are growing expectations that the conference will have to look for more teams moving forward.
