Colorado stole all of college football's headlines from the moment they hired Deion Sanders as the head coach prior to this season.

The head coach took over a program that was one of the worst in the country for around a decade and made it as relevant as a blue blood program overnight. He also employed a unique roster-building method that saw him bring in over 50 players from the transfer portal with the hope that it would lead to an instant winning season.

While they started off strong, winning their first three games, they went on to lose seven of their next eight games. The Buffs went from the main attraction of the sport with superstars gracing the sidelines, to a team that was relentlessly mocked for their confidence and borderline cockiness earlier in the season. However, even with a record of 4-7 that is likely to turn into 4-8, many believe that Sanders had a successful first year in Boulder.

The Buffs had just one win last year and were irrelevant as they come. A couple of reasons that former Stanford and NFL star Richard Sherman believes that Sanders and Colorado were a major success.

Sanders and Colorado have a lot of work cut out for them in fixing the trenches, but he does seem to have a knack for attracting talent. It is just a matter of whether or not he attracts it at the right positions. It is also worth watching out what happens to his staff, as he demoted his offensive coordinator and is expected to bring on Warren Sapp next year as well.

While there won't be as many roster changes, you can still count on some major changes in Boulder.
