Stanford Wide Receiver Commit Emanuel Ross Flips To Syracuse
It's that time of the year in college football, and no it's not the one where the fat guy delivers presents after sliding down the chimney.
It is "flipmas" season, which always rolls around when early signing day approaches, and programs across the country's persistent recruiting of a committed player pays off. Stanford has been on the right end of a couple of flips in landing linebacker Bo Tate and defensive back Javion Randall, but they did lose linebacker Luke Ferrelli to Cal.
On Wednesday, they ended up losing their second commitment of the week in three-star wide receiver Emanuel Ross, who flipped his commitment to Syracuse.
Ross is a New Jersey native, and is clearly fond of the Orange's latest head coaching hire, Fran Brown. The former Georgia defensive backs coach also hails from New Jersey himself, and has been hitting the ground running after being hired as the head coach. He has landed four commitments in the month of December alone from the recruiting ranks, and one transfer.
Ross is their second-highest-rated commit in their 2024 class.
As for Stanford, they still have five wide receivers in their class headlined by four-star Emmett Mosley.
The Cardinal will face off against Ross and the Orange next season in what will be Stanford's first year in the ACC.
