Former Stanford tight end Colby Parkinson signs massive deal with Los Angeles Rams
For the third time in the first week or so in March, a former Stanford tight end has put pen to paper for a new deal in the NFL.
It started with Dalton Schultz re-signing with the Texans, Zach Ertz got a deal with the Washington Commanders, and on Monday it was Colby Parkinson signing a deal with the Los Angeles Rams. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the deal is for three years and is worth up to $22.5 million with $15.5 million guaranteed.
The former fourth-round pick spent his first four seasons with the Seattle Seahawks, recording 57 catches for 618 yards, and four touchdowns.
With better quarterback play in Matthew Stafford, he will have a chance to have a career year. As a recruit, Parkison was ranked as a five-star recruit, the No. 1 tight end, No. 28 player in the country, and the No. 3 player in the state of California.
In three seasons at Stanford, he totaled 87 catches for 1,171 yards and 12 scores.
