For their Pac-12 opener, No. 9 Stanford traveled across the Bay to take on Cal (10-2).

They absolutely dismantled Cal winning by a score of 78-51 behind the hot hand of sophomore point gaurd Talana Lepolo who scored a career-high 20 points. Lepolo sank six threes, which more than made up for the slow night for Cameron Brink who was in foul trouble.

The Cardinal also got a strong show from Kiki Iriafen who added yet another double-double to her resume with 16 points and 10 rebounds.

Stanford also was tenacious on the defense, as they held Cal to just 12.9% shooting from three on 31 attempts, and 26.5% from the field.
