Aggies Projected Regional Hosts in Preseason NCAA Tournament Prediction
There might not have been a bigger surprise in college baseball last season than the Texas A&M Aggies. In their first season under coach Jim Schlossnagle the Aggies made their first trip to Omaha since 2017.
Now, as they prepare for the 2023 season, the Aggies do so hoping to make their first back-to-back College World Series appearances in program history. Getting there, though, will be difficult thanks to the gauntlet that is their conference schedule.
As well, they have to survive both the regional and super regional rounds of the NCAA Tournament.
In College Baseball Nation's preseason Field of 64 projections that comes a bit easy for the Aggies, as they project them to earn the No. 7 national seed and host a College Station Regional once again.
Joining the Aggies in the College Station Regional are the No. 2 seed Arizona State Sun Devils, No. 3 seed Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and No. 4 seed Air Force Falcons. If this regional does come to fruition, the winner would match up with the winner of the projected Hattiesburg Regional.
The Aggies start their season on Feb. 17 at home against the Seattle Redhawks at 6 p.m. CT.
