As the Miami Heat staved off the Boston Celtics' fierce comeback attempt, the NBA Finals are set. The Heat will face the Denver Nuggets.

Between the two teams, the only Texas A&M Aggies representative is center DeAndre Jordan for the Nuggets, as Robert Williams III's Celtics were eliminated in Game 7 Monday. Jordan has not played in each of the Nuggets' last 11 games, last seeing floor time in Game 4 in Round 1 of the Western Conference playoffs in a 114-108 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Jordan played with the Aggies during the 2007-08 season, helping lead Texas A&M to a Second Round NCAA Tournament matchup against No. 1-seeded UCLA, losing to the Final Four-bound Bruins 51-49.

In his lone season in College Station, Jordan averaged 7.9 points, six rebounds and a team-high 1.3 blocks in 35 games. His six blocks against Baylor on March 5, 2008, are tied for the seventh-most in a single game in program history.

The Houston native's 61.7 percent field goal percentage is tied with former Aggies center Tyler Davis for the seventh-highest single-season clip in Texas A&M history.

Jordan became the 27th Aggie drafted to the NBA, getting selected with the No. 35 pick in the second round in 2008 by the Los Angeles Clippers.

In his 15-year NBA career, Jordan has averaged nine points, 10.9 rebounds and 1.5 blocks in 1,019 games, leading the league in field goal percentage for five straight seasons. He also averaged a double-double in six consecutive seasons.

The 2017 NBA All-Star was named to the All-NBA First Team in 2015-16 and the All-NBA Defensive Team in 2014-15 and 2015-16.

Game 1 of the NBA Finals is Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Central Standard Time on ABC.
