Aggies Sink Commodores 87-75 In SEC Tournament Semifinals: Live Game Log

The No. 18 Texas A&M men's basketball team returns to the hardwood for the second consecutive day in a Southeastern Conference Tournament semifinals matchup against the Vanderbilt Commodores on Saturday, March 11 as the Aggies aim to improve their seeding in the Big Dance.

Texas A&M is 4-1 over the last five games, winning at Tennessee and dropping a seven-point loss at Mississippi State before winning three in a row - with victories over Ole Miss and Alabama to close out the regular season prior to a big win over Arkansas in the SEC Tournament quarterfinals on Friday, March 10.

Vanderbilt, meanwhile, is 5-0 over the last five games, winning at home over Florida, on the road at Kentucky, and at home over Mississippi State to conclude the regular season prior to garnering back-to-back wins in the SEC Tournament, defeating LSU in the opening round on March 9 prior to garnering yet another win over Kentucky in the quarterfinals on Friday, March 10.

The Aggies are currently led in scoring (16.3 points per game) and assists (4.1 per game) by guard Wade Taylor IV and in rebounding (5.7 per game) by guard Dexter Dennis.

Commodores forward Liam Robbins leads Vanderbilt in both scoring (15.0 points per game) and rebounding (6.8 per game) while guard Ezra Manjon leads the team in assists (3.8 per game).

The tip-off is won by Vandy and Tyrin Lawrence misses the initial shot of the game, a 3-pointer. A&M's Julius Marble makes a pair of jumpers for a quick 4-0 Aggies lead.

Tyrece Radford hits a shot from beyond the arc that Vandy's Colin Smith matches at the other end. Dexter Dennis extends the A&M lead with a jumper. 15:40 FIRST HALF: Aggies 9, Commodores 3 

Wade Taylor IV nails a 3 off a great assist from Radford, then Quentin Millora-Brown and Henry Coleman III exchange dunks. Radford extends the Aggies' lead with a layup assisted by Andre Gordon, who then drains a 3-pointer. 11:38 FIRST HALF: Aggies 19, Commodores 5

Vandy's Lee Dort tipped in an offensive rebound, but Andersson Garcia answered with a 3-pointer on the other end. Coleman III slammed home a dunk for A&M, then Ezra Manjon made a layup at the other end. 

Tyrce Radford hit a 3 and Myles Stute matched it at the other end. Andre Gordon hit a jumper for the Aggies and Dexter Dennis got fouled and made one-of-two free throws.

Julius Marble hit three consecutive jumpers to extend the Aggies' lead before the TV timeout. 3:53 FIRST HALF: Aggies 36, Commodores 14

Ezra Manjon hit a layup for the Commodores, but Wade Taylor IV hit a pair of 3-point shots for the Aggies before Colin Smith answered with one for Vandy.

Jordan Wright and Radford exchanged layups and Radford was fouled, making his free throw. Solomon Washington made a dunk for the Aggies, giving them a 26-point lead, answered by Colin Smith's 3-pointer. 

Miller-Brown hit a foul shot for Vandy and Dexter Dennis hit a jumper for A&M. HALF: Aggies 49, Commodores 25

Julius Marble hit one-of-two free throws and Wade Taylor IV. hit a jumper. Colin Smith hit a 3 for Vandy, and Jordan Wright made a layup. Taylor IV hit a foul shot and Taylor Lawrence made a jumper for the Commodores.

Wright hit two foul shots as the Commodores have started the second half on a 9-4 run. 15:50 SECOND HALF: Aggies 53, Commodores 34

Colin Smith hit a 3 for Vanderbilt and Tyrece Radford hit one-of-two free throws after a Tyrin Lawrence foul. Ezra Manjon made two foul shots and Radford made a layup.

Jordan Wright hit another 3 for Vandy as their hands are hot in the second half, and Henry Coleman makes a layup answered by a tip-in by Wright for Vanderbilt.

Wright made a pair of foul shots to narrow the Aggies' lead to 12 at 58-46 as Vanderbilt started the second half 21-9. Wade Taylor IV and Jordan Wright exchanged layups before Taylor drained a 3-pointer. 11:03 SECOND HALF: Aggies 63, Commodores 48

Wade Taylor IV hit two free throws after a Jordan Wright foul, then Julius Marble made a dunk. Ezra Manjon hit one-of-two free throws for Vandy, and Tyrin Lawrence made a layup. 

Taylor IV and Manjon exchanged buckets and A&M's Hayden Hefner hit a 3-pointer to extend the Aggies' lead back to 21. 7:54 SECOND HALF: Aggies 74, Commodores 53

Wade Taylor IV hit two foul shots out of the timeout, answered by Vandy's Quentin Millora-Brown who made one-of-two. Tyrin Lawrence hit a 3-pointer for the Commodores that was answered by Hayden Hefner's 3 at the other end.

Manjon made a layup for Vandy and Millora-Brown fouled Radford, who made one foul shot. Lawrence made a dunk for Vanderbilt, then hit a layup after a missed Andre Gordon 3-point attempt.

Jordan Wright and Tyrin Lawrence both made layups to get to within 11 for the Commodores. Manjon made a layup with under a minute remaining. Dexter Dennis hit two foul shots as the Commodores are playing the foul game with just 40 ticks left.

Andersson Garcia made two foul shots before Tyrin Lawrence drained a 3 with 28 seconds left for a 12-point Aggies lead. FINAL: Aggies 87, Commodores 75
