Despite losing core starters to the NFL draft in running back Devon Achane and safety Antonio Johnson, the Texas A&M Aggies were able to return talent at key positions heading into next season.

Among those retained is offensive lineman Layden Robinson, who has become a staple of the Aggies' offensive line at right guard.

With Robinson returning for his senior season, he opened up about the responsibility to make sure the Aggies' offensive line remains a strength.

"I feel like it's all of our responsibility," Robinson said. "I'm just happy to be a key piece in that. I'm getting better and better at this leadership thing every day. I'm not perfect but I'm getting better at it every day and my teammates are helping me get better at it, too."

"I feel like we're doing a great job at bringing energy in practice, and I feel it. All we have to do is just keep on bringing that on and then focus on the little things that we need to get done."

Behind Robinson and the offensive line last season the Aggies averaged 141.5 yards per game on the ground. Not only that but Achane had a career year with 1,102 rushing yards and eight touchdowns while averaging 5.6 yards per carry.

Replacing Achane will be much easier said than done, but the Aggies may have his replacement in freshman Rueben Owens.

If Robinson and the offensive line can continue to play at an elite level, though, it will make life easier for the entire Aggies offense.
