'Good Job!' Aggies Coach Jimbo Fisher Praises Team Chemistry

Ahead of his sixth season with the Aggies, Jimbo Fisher knows what his squad needs to be competitive again, and luckily for Texas A&M, everything seems to falling into place during the early stages of fall practice.
In this story:

When Texas A&M Aggies coach Jimbo Fisher kicked off fall practice for his squad, he had one priority above all else: staying hydrated.

"[Our players] trained in this exact heat all summer long," Fisher said. "We’ll keep high hydration all summer long."

Physically keeping players hydrated was just the bare minimum for Fisher however. He had much loftier goals for his squad entering his sixth season in College Station, and from the sounds of it, those goals are becoming more realistic as the regular season draws nearer.

“The guys have done a good job in the summer," he added. "Chemistry and dynamics are very good… I’ve been very proud of the leadership and the things they’ve done and how they’ve influenced our players.”

Having a strong group of leaders will be crucial for the Aggies, especially if they want to improve and move back into the conversation when the regular season kicks off again. What started with hydration turned into chemistry and now, Fisher is looking forward to what he called his "favorite time of the year."

“[I'm] very excited," he said. "It’s a great time of the year ... my favorite time of the year. Ball is starting. It’s time to get back out to the field. I’m excited to see all the guys and all the work they’ve put in this summer.”

So, place your expectations where you will, but the Aggies seem to be ready to fire on all cylinders next season, which should give fans a much stronger sense of hope regarding their team's expected success.
