'They Got Dudes!' SEC Analyst Lauds Aggies Bobby Petrino, Conner Weigman

You can say a lot of things about the Texas A&M Aggies football team, but you can't say they don't possess talent, and that's at the core of optimism and positive feelings about the direction the program is heading under coach Jimbo Fisher and offensive coordinator Bobby Petrino.

"They do have a ton of weapons offensively. You watch them on tape and it's like, they got dudes! He (Weigman) has been so efficient and making really good decisions. And, again, we've said it from the jump, if Jimbo kind of continues to let Petrino run this thing the way that he sees fit, I think they have a great opportunity.

"Jimbo does need to be a CEO. There's so much to manage when you're the head coach that getting into the day-to-day nuance of game planning can be a distraction from all those macro things you have to think about. And so, hopefully for the Aggies that continues..."

And from a sheer results standpoint, every single piece of criticism that the Aggies and Fisher receive is completely warranted. The only thing to do is prove the cynics wrong and the supporters correct. And it's time to get back on track against an SEC opponent that the Aggies should handle easily at home.

Fisher and the Aggies will take on the Auburn Tigers on Saturday at Kyle Field at 11 a.m. on ESPN.
