Texas A&M Aggies vs. Mississippi State Bulldogs Score Predictions

The Texas A&M Aggies are 7-9 all-time against the Mississippi State Bulldogs.
In this story:

The Mississippi State Bulldogs flexed their muscles in Starkville, MS. last season, beating the Texas A&M Aggies 42-24 on Oct. 1, 2022.

This season, however, the Aggies look like the far better team. And with Bulldogs QB Will Rogers' status still unknown, the Aggies will have the advantage under center as well.

Can the Aggies earn their bowl eligibility and send Mississippi State packing?

Here are the All Aggies staff predictions for when Texas A&M hosts Mississippi State at Kyle Field on Saturday.

Matt Galatzan, Publisher

The Aggies will be motivated to earn their bowl eligibility on Saturday and get an SEC win in the process. That's not to say that Mississippi State won't be unmotivated either. Should they fall in College Station, they will need to beat both Southern Miss and No. 9 Ole Miss to make the postseason.

Either way, the Aggies have the fall superior roster and should be in good shape here.

Zach Arnett is heading to College Station without an answer at quarterback, and the Aggies are 4-1 at Kyle Field. The Bulldogs must win two of their next three games to secure a bowl bid, but the Aggies are pushing to finish at least 8-4 on the season.

There's no excuse for Saturday's game. A&M has lost to three ranked teams by a combined 13 points, and Mike Leach — who tragically passed away well before his time — isn't standing on the opposing sideline. The Aggies clinch bowl eligibility and Jimbo Fisher ends the losing streak to the Mississippi schools.

Next up: ending the road losing streak in Baton Rouge come Nov. 25.

Texas A&M is the better team in every category here with the exception of possibly one ... head coach. We think Jimbo Fisher is better, but at this point are we sure? Both teams will be motivated by bowl eligibility, which is sad for the Aggies, who had much higher hopes entering the season.

That said, Mississippi State will be ready and more motivated than A&M.

Mississippi State 24, Texas A&M 20

Matt Guzman, Staff Writer

The Aggies haven't surpassed any expectations this season. Their last three losses are testaments to that, especially given that all three were incredibly winnable, but at the same time, they aren't pushovers. Texas A&M may not be sitting anywhere near the top of the SEC this season, but they're also not your typical bottom-of-the-bucket team that's incapable of winning.

I think that they'll make something happen at home against the Bulldogs, especially with a night-game environment backing them up. Put me down for the first Aggies' victory in conference play of November.

Hopefully, it won't be the only.

Texas A&M 24, Mississippi State 14
