Aggies Tradition of Midnight Yell Earns Top Tier in SEC Rankings

After being disrespected recently by being named in the bottom tier of SEC logos, the Aggies bounce back on USA Today's list of top traditions in the SEC.
In this story:

As everyone struggles for valuable football content during the offseason, the good news is the start of the Texas A&M Aggies 2023 football season is just *cough* 53 days away.

And since there are no practices to discuss and some of the position battles are best left alone until those workouts begin, we'd like to offer you some entertainment content, as USA Today has offered us its list of the best traditions of the SEC.

After being disrespected recently by being named in the bottom tier of SEC logos by Saturday Down South, the Aggies bounce back on USA Today's list. Again, tiers were used rather than just numbers, so as not to offend anyone, and a clear No. 1 wasn't offered.

But since Texas A&M is in tier 1, we'll name them the winner here at All Aggies. USA Today named the Aggies in tier 1 alongside Alamaba, Tennessee, South Carolina and Mississippi.

Which tradition got the Aggies in the top tier? USA Today loves the tradition of the Midnight Yell.

"The Midnight Yell – Nothing like a group primal scream at the witching hour before a football Saturday to fire up the faithful in College Station. Actually, there’s a little more to it than that. The yell leaders, elected by the Aggies’ student body, lead the band and fans in what amounts to a late-night pep rally at Kyle Field. No worries though – the kids always seem to have plenty of energy left for Saturday."

Alabama was named for its Walk of Champions, Tennessee for its Vol Navy, Ole Miss for The Grove, and South Carolina was included for its tradition of Sandstorm.

Only 53 more days until live game action and maybe 40 days before we start with some real previews again. Not sure about you but we can't wait.
