WATCH: Aggies Turn Interception in TD, Cut Into Cowboys Lead

The Texas A&M Aggies are off to a good start in the third quarter vs. Oklahoma State

HOUSTON, TX -- The Texas A&M Aggies had a rough go of things in the first half of the Texas Bowl vs. the Oklahoma State Cowboys losing their starting quarterback to an injury, and heading into the locker room down by three scores.

Things looked like they were going to get worse too, with the Cowboys starting the second half with the football after the Aggies received the opening kick of the game.

However, after taking advantage of a Dalton Brooks interception, the Aggies have no cut into that deficit, trailing 24-13 midway through the third quarter after an Amari Daniel two-yard touchdown run.

The drive started in good field position for the Aggies after the pick at their own 40-yard line, with freshman Marcel Reed hitting senior tight end Max Wright for eight yards.

Then two plays later, the big play happened, with Reed hitting Wright for 40 yards to get the Aggies into scoring position.

Then, after a Reed rush and and Oklahoma State Penalty, Daniels was up, rushing the ball into the end zone from two yards out.

Daniels, who leads the team with seven carries for 16 yards, now has 530 yards and six touchdowns on the season.

Unfortunately for the Aggies, the momentum was short-lived, with the Cowboys marching down the field for another score to make it 31-13.
