The Texas A&M Aggies have been one of the hottest teams in the country in the 2024 recruiting cycle all spring and summer.

And on Saturday, that continued to be the case, with four-star Refugio (TX) wide receiver Ernest Campbell making his commitment to the program

Campbell chose the Aggies over Nebraska, TCU, Baylor Kansas, Texas Tech and Oregon, among others.

Campbell currently ranks as the No. 54 wide receiver and the No. 57 overall recruit in the state of Texas per On3's rankings.

A true speedster, the 5'8 Campbell won the 100 and 200-meter 2A state titles in 2023, and set the state record with a 10.22-second 100-meter dash. That time is also faster than recently drafted Texas A&M star running back Devon Achane, who ran a 10.53-second 100-meter dash.

With the commitment of Campbell, the Aggies have now added their fifth wide receiver of the 2024 class, including Jaylan Hornsby, Drelon Miller, Debron Gatling, and five-star Cam Coleman.

Campbell is also the 18th recruit of the class for Texas A&M, as well as the 13th player to commit to the program since the beginning of May.

Texas A&M currently sits with the No. 8 class in the country and the No. 4 class in the SEC per On3's team recruiting rankings.
