Texas A&M Baseball NCAA Regional vs. Stanford: How to Watch, Preview

Friday's late-night victory set up the Aggies to face their regional hosts Saturday night, with a win sending them to the regional final in hopes of another super regional berth.
In this story:

After sealing the deal against No. 3 seeded Cal State Fullerton, the Texas A&M Aggies are officially in the winner's bracket of the Stanford regional

Texas A&M used both a strong regular season finish and impressive SEC tournament performance to propel itself into the tournament as a two-seed, taking a better position over the looming three-seed placement that was seemingly waiting for the Aggies to preemptively mess up.

The Aggies started the tournament with bats swinging, notching 12 runs in their regional debut. Despite a late push by the Titans, Texas A&M secured a win, now set to face the regional hosts in Game 2 Saturday night.

The Stanford Cardinal has displayed an elite level of offensive capability, ranking in the top-15 nationally in both hits and batting average.

The Aggies' Saturday starter, Justin Lamkin, will try his throws against the Cardinal first, looking to force Stanford into a slow start while the Aggies hope to be red hot — something they'll need to "hang with [the Cardinal]"

A win for the Aggies would solidify their spot in the regional final, where they would await the winner of the Stanford-Cal State Fullerton or San Jose St. matchup, while a loss would put them on the brink of elimination.

Either way, Texas A&M isn't looking to go down without a fight, and if its hot streak is any indication of its regional finish, the Aggies could be playing baseball for a while longer.

First pitch between the Aggies and the Cardinal is set for 8 p.m. CST on ESPN+.
