Aggies-Ex Denver Harris Facing 3rd Suspension in 2 Years After LSU Fight Breaks Out

Even though Denver Harris is no longer with the Aggies, seeing his name in headlines regarding disciplinary issues likely isn't surprising to Texas A&M fans after the five-star transfer was suspended twice last season.

If seeing former Texas A&M Aggies quarterback Johnny Manziel's name in headlines once again wasn't enough deja vu for Aggie fans, they might be surprised — or not — to see another former Texas A&M player in the news.

Denver Harris, the Aggies' four-star cornerback recruit last season, sparked some controversy at his new home in Baton Rouge after transferring to LSU, currently facing a possible suspension after a fight broke out during team practice.

Harris was in the mix of players involved, which led to talks of a possible suspension surfacing, putting Harris and the Tigers in a tough position. After earning a four-star rating from 247 Sports when he committed to the Aggies, his limited, yet promising performance on the field earned him a five-star rating and the second-highest rating of any transfer player.

Brian Kelly took a chance on that promise, seemingly not scared off by Harris' troubled past with discipline, stating that the team "did its due diligence when recruiting him."

With the Aggies, Harris was suspended two different times, the first being prior to Texas A&M's Week 3 matchup against Miami after violating curfew and the second being after a locker room altercation following Week 8.

The latter incident certainly suggests that more than just words were used between players, making Harris' recent issue with LSU seem even more feasible. If a suspension does end up being layed down, it likely won't affect his status for the Aggies' game.

While Harris does have talent, it hasn't proven to translate to off-field character, leaving Texas A&M to wonder if his departure was maybe for the better.

Barring any other setbacks, Harris and the LSU Tigers will host the Aggies on Nov. 25 to conclude the regular season. Kickoff is TBD.
