Men's Basketball Spotlight Game Of The Weekend: #7 Kansas at #23 Iowa State
Hilton Coliseum, one of the roughest places to play in the country, will host the No. 6 Kansas Jayhawks this Saturday in a Top-25 matchup. Iowa State looks to remain unbeaten at home this season while the Jayhawks look to prove they can win on the road.
Iowa State is led by guard Tamin Lipsey, who averages 14 points a game and six assists to go with it and will look to do all he can to keep the Cyclones undefeated at home. Lipsey will look to be a thorn in the side for the Jayhawks since the point guard is averaging six steals a game and will look to maintain that average in this matchup.
Kansas will look to dominate this game offensively in the post, sporting one of the best post duo in the country in KJ Adams and Hunter Dickinson. Adams averages 12 points and five rebounds per game, while Dickinson averages a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds.
Another player to watch for in this game is Kevin Mccullar Jr. from Kansas, who averages 20 points per game and will be the point man for the Jayhawks' offense. Milan Momcilovic has been the most consistent player for Iowa State for the Cyclones, with double-digit points in nearly every game and a 40% field goal percentage to go along with it.
The Big 12 has proven to be a gauntlet, and this matchup will be no different. Expect plenty of lead changes and a few runs by each team that will keep the game in constant chaos.
