TCU Rifle Defeats Ohio State For Their Third Victory Of The Spring Season
TCU Rifle had their first away match of the 2024 calendar year in Columbus, Ohio, and will be returning to Fort Worth with their third straight victory over the Buckeyes after winning 4730-4717.
The number two-ranked Horned Frogs were led to victory by Stephanie Grundsoee, firing the top marks in both disciplines for the match. Grundsoee tied her career-high in smallbore with a mark of 594 and finished the day with a 597 in air rifle.
Despite TCU being without two top competitors, Jeanne Haverhill and Katie Zaun, who were away at an international competition, the team still produced five of the top eight marks.
Nina Schuett finished fourth in the dual with an aggregate score of 1181 and tied her season high with a mark of 595 in the air rifle portion. Mikole Hogan was close behind, finishing fifth with a score of 1180, with Stephanie Allan and Anne White finishing close behind to round out the top eight.
TCU will return to action on Sunday, January 28, at The Citadel.
