The Detroit Lions have been active to begin the legal tampering period. They came to terms on a three-year deal with Pittsburgh Steelers corner Cam Sutton on Monday, and now have inked San Francisco 49ers corner Emmanuel Moseley to a one-year agreement.

Moseley is another former Vol that the Lions targeted. Detroit is coming off an encouraging 9-8 season with several young contributors that may headline their organization moving forward. Head coach Dan Campbell is becoming a popular name in coaching circles, and rightfully so. The squad took a massive leap between Campbell's first and second season, underscoring the culture shift for one of the NFL's most dysfunctional franchises.

They went hunting for secondary help this free agency period and came away rewarded. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Moseley's deal carries a valuation of $6 million. No further details on the contract have been released.

Moseley is a five-year veteran who has tallied 162 tackles and four interceptions. He spent the first five years of his career with the 49ers, one of the league's top defenses that routinely had a strong secondary. Moseley may be an under-the-radar signing, but many are confident he could bolster Detroit's corner room in 2023.
