Halftime Report: @ Kentucky

The Tennessee Volunteers head into halftime with a lead over the Kentucky Wildcats.
In this story:

The Vols head into the locker room carrying a lead against Kentucky. This contest was big for both squads - both were 5-2 entering play with many goals still in front of them. Still, two losses through seven games mean disappointment at some point, and tonight is a big opportunity for both to make a statement to their fans.

Tennessee has leaned on its illustrious run game in the first half. Running back Jaylen Wright set the tone in the first half with a 52-yard touchdown and has remained physical through the quarter break. However, Kentucky quarterback Devin Leary is doing strong things on the other side, looking like the former ACC Player of the Year that he was.

Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel has done a good job of planning the game for his quarterback Joe Milton III. Milton hasn't done anything out of the ordinary, but he's stayed ahead of the sticks and been accurate throughout the evening.
