Josh Heupel Comments On Officiating vs. Alabama
The Vols suffered a tough loss to Alabama on Saturday afternoon, which frustrated many. Some thought a few questionable calls favored the Crimson Tide, and Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel was asked about it at the podium.
His response? Silence. Followed by a quick quip, "Next question. Was that long enough silence?" It further underscores a frustrating day for a Tennessee team that operated on all cylinders in the first half before coming apart in the second half and losing control of the football game.
The most disappointing part of the afternoon's events was that the Vols left action without getting a real answer to who they were as a team. They continue to flash top-end talent but haven't put it together for long stretches.
A lot of attention will be paid to this result, but the most important thing for Tennessee is to move on to Kentucky. The Wildcats have a tough atmosphere and a strong team that will be difficult for Tennessee. The Vols must ensure they have a short memory and address the mistakes from this afternoon before taking the field again.
