Harrison Bailey Enters Transfer Portal
The transfer portal opened back up on Saturday, meaning players can officially enroll at new universities and begin football activities. With the amount of player movement present, there are bound to be some familiar faces entering the portal.
UNLV quarterback Harrison Bailey entered his name into the portal for the second time in his career on Monday. He is listed as a graduate transfer that will have immediate eligibility at his next stop. Bailey was a four-star prospect in the 2020 class, coming out of Marietta High School in Georgia. He paired with star tight end Arik Gilbert to lead the Blue Devils to a state title in their senior season, and many forecasted great success for Bailey when he signed with Tennessee.
However, things never panned out. Bailey saw time during his true freshman season, recording 68 pass attempts and 578 passing yards. He even threw for four touchdowns during that stretch, but his role continued shrinking the further he got acclimated with the program. He threw seven passes during his sophomore season and quickly entered the portal.
Bailey landed at UNLV, throwing 58 passes in his lone season with the team. He looks to revive his career at the next destination, and he should have suitors. Bailey has a lot of intangibles, holding a 6-5 frame and a strong arm. He's now been in three college systems and has seen a lot of football; time will tell if he can figure it out.
