BREAKING: Tennessee Learns 2024 In-Conference Schedule During SEC Schedule Release

The Tennessee Volunteers now have their full 2024 schedule after the SEC schedule release.
In this story:

We are so close to college athletics as we know looking very different. Wednesday felt different as the 2024 SEC football schedule was revealed. Oklahoma and Texas found out their opponents for their inaugural season in the SEC. The Vols learned their rivalries that stayed intact along with the rest of their 2024 schedule as the conference makes the move to 16 teams.

The most important part of the schedule is which rivalries Tennessee gets to play in 2024. While it is undetermined whether these rivalries will stay or for how long, we know the Vols will get to play Alabama at home and Vanderbilt on the road in 2024. The SEC seemed to prioritize playing in-state rivalries as Texas-Texas A&M, the Iron Bowl and the Egg Bowl will all be played in 2024. That likely means that Tennessee's rivalry against Vanderbilt remains intact for the foreseeable future. They get the Oklahoma Sooners in the first year that the Sooners are in the SEC, which means the Vols will face the Texas Longhorns in 2025.

  • Home Games: Alabama, Florida, Kentucky, Mississippi State
  • Away Games: Oklahoma, Vanderbilt, Arkansas, Georgia
