Playmakers of The Opponent - Three Georgia Offensive Players To Watch

The Tennessee Volunteers are preparing to host the two-time defending national champion Georgia Bulldogs. Here are three offensive players to keep an eye out for.
In this story:

Tennessee welcomes the Georgia Bulldogs into Neyland Stadium on Saturday. A program typically built around dominant defensive play has revitalized itself, leaning on an offensive attack averaging 42.6 points per game over their past five outings.

A primary factor in their success has been their quarterback, redshirt junior Carson Beck. He runs their offense in a timely, efficient manner, attacking defenses in between the numbers at a higher rate than anyone in the conference. Beck ranks No. 7 in quarterback rating amongst all college passers.

While Beck is the triggerman that runs the show, Georgia's offense has some big-time skill position players. Georgia thrives when they can get the ball into their playmakers' hands in open space. Three offensive standouts are currently surging for the Bulldogs.

Brock Bowers

The 2022 Mackey Award winner is looking to repeat this season. Brock Bowers is by far the best tight end in college football and looks like a surefire top-10 draft pick this spring. He's totaled three games over 100 yards this year, adding in five touchdowns. He missed some time with an injury but returned last weekend at Ole Miss, catching a touchdown pass in the blowout win.

Kendall Milton

Georgia typically has a stable of running backs that can wear a front seven out over four quarters, and this year is no different. Several names have assumed the lead role for Georgia over the past few months, but Kendall Milton had a career day last week against Ole Miss. Milton finished with 139 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns, finishing through contact and keeping a strong leg drive. He's an apt pass-protector with much experience in this offense, and Milton is coming on at the right time for the Bulldogs.

Ladd McConkey

Ladd McConkey has flown up NFL draft boards in 2023. The 6-0 speedster assumed the No. 1 role when Bowers went out and didn't disappoint. McConkey missed some time himself this season but has returned to form of late. He has gone over 80 yards in each of Georgia's past three games, dominating corners with his pace of play and burst. He may not be as dominant as other top receivers at the catch point, but he makes plays when the ball is in the air and competes every rep.
