The Good, Bad, and Ugly vs. Texas A&M

The Tennessee Volunteers notched a big win over the Texas A&M Aggies on Saturday.
In this story:

The Tennessee Volunteers just finished up their last February Saturday matchup as they took on the Texas A&M Aggies, who defeated them earlier in this season. The Volunteers were at home this go around and did not disappoint as they dominated the Aggies by a score of 86-51. The Volunteers got revenge, and here are the good, bad, and ugly from their winning performance.

The Good

Zakai Zeigler was electric for the Volunteers on Saturday night. He had 9 points 9 rebounds and 14 assists nearing a triple-double for the Volunteers. Jonas Aidoo was also elite, as he had 18 points and 14 rebounds, adding yet another double-double to his lengthy year-long resume. Dalton Knecht was no slouch, either. The standout prospect had 24 points and seven rebounds. Twenty-four points may seem like a lot but for Knecht, it’s just another day. The rebound total was also very eye-catching, as they had 50 rebounds. The Volunteers also out-assisted the Aggies.

The Bad

They had a fairly high amount of fouls. If they could cut that down, that would be ideal.

The Ugly

The turnovers. The turnovers were still fairly high, and although it didn’t play a factor in the end, it would be beneficial if they could cut that down as March Madness quickly approaches.

The Volunteers are set to face the Auburn Tigers on Wednesday at home before having to travel for their 2nd matchup against the Alabama Crimson Tide, which is supposed to be hosted by college gameday. The Vols had college gameday on campus last year for the Texas game, in which they pulled out the alternate uniforms and won in dominant fashion. They will likely look to repeat that situation, but this time, as they are on the road and looking to get the #1 seed in the SEC tournament.
