Corner has been a primary position of interest for the Tennessee Volunteers in recruiting. They added 2025 four-star corner Shamar Arnoux to the fold on Friday, hosted 2025 four-star corner Devin Williams over the weekend, and got more interesting news about the position on Easter Sunday.

2024 five-star corner Aaron Scott Jr. cut down his recruitment. He will focus on 12 programs moving forward, encompassing Tennessee, USC, Ohio State, Oregon, Michigan, Penn State, Florida State, Notre Dame, Kentucky, Pittsburgh, Louisville, and Oklahoma. The Ohio native is considered a Buckeye lean, but several out-of-state schools have caught his attention.

Scott has visited Knoxville twice, most recently on March 25. In a recent interview with On3's Chad Simmons, he shared he is primarily looking for a program that can prepare him for the NFL. "The development, seeing how the coaches coach the players and then the defense. I like (playing) man (coverage). I split out, play a lot of man."

Adding quality corners is always a good idea. You can't have a shortage of top-tier man-cover defensive backs, and Scott certainly fits that mold. He enjoys the challenge of lining up across from a challenging wide receiver and winning the matchup. Scott stands 6-1 and 180 pounds, undergoing quite a physical transformation over the past year. He locates the football well out of the air and has strong ball skills at the point of attack.

He's physical in the correct way; Scott doesn't use his body to attack receivers. Rather, he hand-fights throughout the route and subtly forces the receiver away from the landing spot. Scott uses strong technique and leverages to win his matchups, a translatable tool that will serve him well in the SEC.
