Boo Carter Updates Commitment + Future Of Vols Football

Tennessee Volunteers defensive back commit Boo Carter details his commitment to the Vols and the success they have shown at defensive back this season.
In this story:

Last Friday, Bradley Central got a huge win over their rival school, Cleveland. A big factor in their success is Boo Carter. He finished the game with two touchdowns, and his final touchdown put Cleveland away late in the 4th quarter.

Carter is a 6'0, 180-pound athlete from Chattanooga, Tennessee, who plays high school football for Bradley Central and is committed to Tennessee. Carter plays all over the field, including defensive back, box safety, wide receiver, and running back. After his game on Friday, he took the time to speak with Volunteer Country about his commitment to Tennessee.

Carter was asked what stood out about Tennessee and responded, "Coach [Josh] Heupel, how he is changing the program. I know how they develop players there. I already know I can get developed there. Coach [Willie] Martinez, I mean, that's my recruiting guy, and he's doing good so far, and they are on the right track."

The Bradley Central standout has a massive role on both sides of the football. He was asked if Tennessee's success on both sides excites him to play there at the next level. He replied, "Yeah, most definitely, I'm committed there for a reason. I know Tennessee is going to make sure the 2024 class comes up this year and will be prepared and ready for next year." Carter has put together an impressive season so far for Bradley Central and is currently believed to be a front-runner for the "Mr. Football" Award, which is given to the top player in each class for the state of Tennessee.
