Bryce Lewis Talks Tennessee Offer And Upcoming Visit To Georgia Game

2025 three-star tight end Bryce Lewis (Roswell, Ga.) is committed to Arizona, but the Tennessee Volunteers have jumped into his recruitment in a big way.
In this story:

The state of Georgia has been good to the Vols under head coach Josh Heupel. They get eyes on young talent early in the Peach State, developing relationships with prospects and getting an inside track in their recruitment. They dished out an offer to Blessed Trinity tight end Bryce Lewis, an Arizona commit quickly bursting onto the scene.

Lewis currently measures in at around 6-6 and 208 pounds. He holds multiple offers, including Arizona, Vanderbilt, Kansas, and more. Tennessee is his most recent offer. He took the time shortly after to catch up with Volunteer Country.

“The offer means a lot. Not only is it a great school, but what they’ve done in their athletic programs is amazing. The athletes they’ve produced, like Peyton Manning and more recent athletes like Jalin Hyatt and Hendon Hooker, are simply amazing. Not only is Tennessee a great school, but it’s close to home. So this means a whole lot to me,” Lewis states. He's already begun developing relationships with assistants in the Tennessee tight ends room, including the tight ends coach, Alec Abeln.

"I talked with Coach Abeln and Coach [David] Weeks. The conversation I had with them was great. We talked about ourselves, the school itself, and a little about the coaches." Lewis is interested in how Tennessee develops its tight ends and the progression that room has seen over the past few years. "They use the most of their tight ends, and their tight end development does stand out.

Lewis confirmed that he will be in town for the Georgia game on Saturday. He's excited to see what the crowd at Neyland has in store. "I expect Knoxville to be live and jumping when this weekend hits. I also expect to meet with and talk to the coaches. And also to watch the Vols get the W."
